Welcome to Fairfield Preparatory Academy!
We are a public charter school for competitive sports and academics for students in grades K-8. Our mission is to promote the academic, emotional, and physical development of our students through the promotion of teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic competition. By developing these skills, student-athletes will become confident and capable contributing members of our community.
• Academics – we teach an Ohio Standards-based curriculum and individualize instruction to each student by assessing students on a bi-weekly schedule to know if a student is working ahead, falling behind, or right on track. We teach our core subjects of English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies & Science every morning.
• Fitness & Extracurriculars – all students participate in our afternoon PE program which includes Health topics & Fitness activities. In addition to general PE, students can choose to play sports or participate in other activities.
• Family – we value families, partnership & participation—within the school community & at home. All sports team practices and most games are scheduled during the school day to keep evenings free for family time.

Laura Allison, Principal
Mrs. Allison is a Butler County native, having grown up in the Oxford and Hamilton areas. She left the county shortly after graduating high school to join her husband in his 20-year active-duty US Army career. She completed her undergrad at Troy University and received two master’s degrees, one in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida and another in Psychology from the University of the Rockies.
Mrs. Allison brings 9 years of experience in education ranging from school office manager to teacher, while serving communities in the Department of Defense, Colorado, Florida, and Ohio. She has most recently served as a Director of Academics for ACCEL Schools in Cincinnati. Her role has been focused on teacher support and development, which ultimately leads to student success in and out of the classroom.
Dr. Chad Carr, Executive Vice President
Dr. Chad Carr is the creator of the Blitz™ Academic Model and joined ACCEL Schools in 2015 with over 27 years of experience as a K-12 educator, coach, principal, and superintendent of schools in Ohio and Kentucky. Prior to joining ACCEL Schools, Dr. Carr served as Executive Vice President of Mosaica Education, where he turned around failing charter schools in Ohio. Dr. Carr holds a Ph.D. in Education from Morehead State University and three Master’s degrees in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, and Administration from the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.
